Okinawa Zoo & Museum

This is the Prefecture’s leading theme park, comprised of the first zoo in the Prefecture, “Wonder Museum,” where children can learn about science, and “Children’s Center” which focuses on volunteer activity. Also in the grounds is “Furusato Garden” - a traditional Okinawan homestead restored early in the twentieth century which has been recognized as a tangible cultural asset. There are exciting events to see throughout the year, such as the “Flower Festival,” the “Okinawa Zoo & Museum Festival,” the “Eisa Festival,” and “Satazu Night” when you can visit the zoo after dark. The “Wonder Museum” is popular with adults, too, so whether you have children or not this is a great place to visit.
